Returnable bottles can reduce waste and CO2 emissions and save energy and raw materials. As a result, they are one of the most environmentally-friendly containers. Recent growing interest in environmental concerns has focused renewed attention on returnable bottles.
Japanese Standard Returnable Bottle ー “R marked bottle”
In order to spread knowledge about returnable bottles in Japan, Japan Glass Bottle Association established a certification system for returnable bottles. A certified returnable bottle is allowed to carry an “R” mark. Toyo Glass has cooperated with universities and university coops on the development of the new stylish returnable bottle “R Drops” for promotion of returnable glass bottles to the young generation.
